In response to the upcoming colder weather, the Monterey County Health Department offers tips to stay warm safely

To keep warm and safe this winter, dress in layers, wear a hat, throw an extra blanket on the bed and be aware of carbon monoxide dangers.

The National Weather Service’s forecast for colder weather includes temperatures that will drop into the low 30s at night into next week. The Monterey County Health Department would like to remind everyone to keep warm safely.

If you click Control+Click on the language you need, you’ll go right to the CO pdf. in that language. The attachment is a CO flyer with a brief but important warning about indoor heating risks in case of electrical outages or no electricity at all. The flyer lists warnings in Spanish, Russian, Somali, Chinese, Korean, Ukrainian, Punjabi, and Vietnamese.
