Thursday, October 27th from 1:00 to 4:00
Monterey County OES
1322 Natividad Road, Salinas, CA 93906
The Briefing will feature speakers from the National Weather Service, Water Resources Agency, Department of Public Works, PG&E, 9-1-1, first responder agency representatives and a variety of preparedness and response agencies to address the 2011-2012 Winter Storm forecast, preparedness and response strategies and notification protocols.
The Seminar will be presented by our local National Weather Service who will help attendees understand the differences between the many different types of weather related warning, watch or advisory bulletins; how this information can be used to make life saving decisions including how to respond during a weather warning. Be able to find out about a change in weather so you can make an informed decision about altering plans for public events, which could lead to protecting lives and liability.
