SUMMARY:Volunteers Needed - Alert Monterey! Kick-off and Winter Storm 
 Conference
DESCRIPTION:Four or five Citizens Corps volunteers are needed for a ve
 ry special event! On October 28, from noon until 1 pm, Monterey County
  will launch it’s campaign to register cell phones, email addresses,
  and additional landline phones for our TENS or “reverse 911” syst
 em, now named “Alert Monterey County!”. The event is scheduled for
  the Steinbeck Center in Salinas. The 2009 Winter Storm Campaign will 
 be held immediately afterword from 1-3 pm.\n\nThe media event and demo
 nstration for elected officials is scheduled from 12:00 - 12:30 pm. A 
 media break and social event with lunch are scheduled for 12:30 to 1pm
 . This is a chance for the media to interview various participants reg
 arding the Alert Monterey County! campaign. Citizens Corps volunteers 
 are needed to staff a table where attendees will be registered in an o
 nline database to be used for the demonstration. All Citizens Corps vo
 lunteers are invited to attend the 2009 Winter Storm Conference immedi
